Katerina Kremasioti is a visual artist currently based in Greece.  She studied Fine Arts (BA, Wimbledon College of Art) and Photography (MA, University of Westminster).

Katerina works as a freelance animator for film and television, coordinates animation workshops, teaches in post-secondary education while enjoying to create and exhibit new work. Her practice combines a broad range of media such as drawing, painting, model making,  still photography and moving image with the use of traditional and digital methods.

Her photography revolves around fabricated, imaginary spaces which she creates in the form of three- dimensional models. With the addition of lighting, painted backgrounds and special effects but, most essentially, viewed through the photographic lens, her hand- crafted sets transform into illusionary spaces where the boundaries between reality and fantasy, fact and fiction, dream and awakening become uncertain.

Katerina's animation credits include a wide range of hand drawn projects for the big screen and television: feature films, music videos, TV series and commercials. Most recently, she worked on the 2023 Oscar and Bafta winner “The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and theHorse”, also on projects for Disney, Warner Bros. and Zanuck Family Entairtenment (Los Angeles, CA).
